Online Interpreting by Video & Phone
You do not have to be in the same room to understand one another. Online interpreting brings a human interpreter into a live conversation, helping participants communicate even when they speak different languages.
Tolk24 supports remote conversations for clients worldwide. We are based in Sweden; your request can come from another country. The important details are your language pair, the time zone, the meeting format and what the conversation needs to achieve.
Video interpreting
Video is useful when seeing one another helps the conversation. A remote interpreter joins the agreed meeting platform alongside the participants. This can suit planned discussions, business conversations and other meetings where everyone can use a camera and microphone.
Let us know which platform you use and whether more than one participant will join. Platform access, the interpreting arrangement and any preparation should be confirmed in advance. A headset and a quiet room usually make it easier for people to hear one another.
Telephone interpreting
For a conversation that does not need a camera, telephone interpreting can be a practical option. Tell us how the participants will connect, which number or meeting system will be used, and the expected length of the call.
Allow speakers to finish short sections before the interpreter speaks. A steady pace, clear sound and brief pauses help everyone follow the discussion.
When an in-person meeting is needed
Some assignments call for someone to attend physically. In-person work is arranged separately and depends on the location, date and requirements. Contact us with the venue and timing so we can discuss a practical arrangement.
What to include in your request
- The two languages and any relevant dialect or regional variation.
- The date, local time and time zone, including the country.
- The format: video, telephone or in person.
- The expected duration, number of participants and subject area.
- Any access needs or particular professional requirements.
Plan the connection, not just the time.
Before the appointment, confirm how the interpreter will join. Do not send sensitive personal documents through an unagreed channel. If preparation material is needed, ask how it should be shared.
Availability and pricing
